The Anne Frank House is definitely one of the places that you are kind of obliged to visit while you're in this city. This is the place where the world famous diary is written by that little girl that sold more copies then the bible and has been translated in pretty much every language you can think of. This is the house where the family Frank hided during the period of the 2nd world war until they were found shortly before the end of the war and were deported to concentration camps. It is truly unbelievable how they could be living there unnoticed for all those years and how they were living there with their entire family. Definitely visit this place to get some more understanding for the Jewish community during WWII.
