The Dam tot Damloop is in Amsterdam actually more popular than the marathon that is being held every year. Thousands of people standing on the side of the raod to support the runners and in the little villages surrounding Amsterdam the inhabitants support the runners with music, water, snacks and the songs they're singing while drinking a beer on their front yard. This event definitely is a great experience as a runner but certainly also as a spectator. When you're in the city, definitely take some time to enjoy this event.
