In a city with a notorious and shady reputation like Amsterdam, a restaurant named Barney’s may seem like a safe oasis. They offer both vegan and vegetarian fare, and legally allow diners to smoke marijuana in their sister establishment (Barney’s Brasserie) some doors down. Neither place actually sells marijuana though.

If Amsterdamers love to sit in cafes so much, does anyone get any work done? Well, the staff at Villa ZeeZicht are perennially busy serving patrons (which explains the cluttered and buzzing environment within) so not everyone is a café potato. Try their tapas, sandwiches, and cakes to start off.
