Almost every city has a market, it is a place to buy the cheapest goods or souvenir and to meet a diversity of cultural people. One of the most famous markets occupies the half- mile long Amsterdam Albert Cuypstraat in the area known as the Pijp. Popularly known as 'The Cuyp'. The Amsterdam Dapperstraat market can compare with this market and they can claim to be Holland's liveliest markets! This is due in part to the enormous, colorful variety of food and cloths sale here. The stalls are really beautiful, it is a real splendid spectacle to see, taste, smell and feel all the goods. The offerings are so varied, that the market people boast "if you can not find it on the Dutch markets, it either does not exist or it has not been discovered yet" Whatever the time of year, there is always a fun and nice atmosphere on the Dutch markets.
